Whats so hard to understand? This is how regimes change in the Arab world. This has happened in:
Syria - Bashars father seized power in the seventies.
Iraq - Aide from now, Sadddam overthrew mentor and executed his rivals
Saudi Arabia - Attempted regime change was the killing of King Faisal in 1975
Egypt - The public killing of Anwar Sadat by Islamists for the crime of bringing peace.
Sudan- Numerous coups never mind the genocides in Darfar and in the South.
Yemen - Numerous coups
Libya - Ghaddaffy's overthrow of the native king
Algeria - Numerous coups never mind the massacres after the Islamist election vitory was overthrown
Lebanon- 1975-1990 Civil war plus the recent killings of anti-Syrian politicians. Never mind the recent Palestiniabn Arabs attacks on the gov't.
Why? Thats the culture. Its a tribal culture of violence. Islam does
a lousy job of bringing peace. Its time to drop it!
